Mr. Andrew Sakala a retired pilot from Zambian Air Force underwent a 360 degree spine fusion at Yashoda Hospitals, Hyderabad India. Mr. Sakala is now doing very well post surgery. Team of doctors lead by Dr. Kiran Kumar Lingutla first explanted all previous failed implants in his back and put new implants. The team of doctors then extended the level of fixation and then used an iliac crest bone graft from his right and fixed his lumbar spine, as this was a case of 2 attempts of failed spine surgery back home in his country. Prior to the surgery at Yashoda Mr. Sakala was almost bedridden as his screws in spine had backed out and had disc space infection.
